Bessacarr

The history of Bessacarr motor homes originated from founder company Albert Skipper & Sons. The name was derived of the village Bessacarr, of which Albert Skipper was born, on the south east edge of Doncaster, South Yorkshire.Bessacarr started with caravans well before motor homes, which were introduced in 1960 at the Earls Court caravan exhibition show, starting at only £325.In 1996 Bessacarr was bought out by the Swift Group. Using the Bessacarr name as the premium brand of Swift, they introduced the first two motor homes at the NEC February show in 1997.Over the years, Bessacarr have had several ranges and layouts available. The E300 series was the van conversions, the earliest range of motor homes. Next came the E400 series which were the more compact motor homes, followed by the E500 series, E600 series and the premium twin axel models, the E700 series.Along with Bessacarr motorhomes, Swift Group are also the proud owners of the Autocruise. The Swift Group is the U.K.’s biggest manufacturer of caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes in the U.K.
